Some Fine Print on Fine Print
If you found this page, it’s because you are a reader of fine print. This means two things. First, it means you and I are going to get along GREAT.
Second, it means you may have noticed that the language in this website’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Disclaimer, Cookie Policy, and Privacy Settings doesn’t match the rest of the website's language. In fact, if you read my FAQs with the level of attention it took you to find this page, you might be even more confused by the disconnect between the language on those pages and my expressed values regarding inclusivity. Well spotted!
I used a very cool service called Termaggedon (just a fan, not an endorsement) to generate that language for me. I am not a lawyer for websites. I am a lawyer for mental health practitioners. I do not want to spend my time keeping track of all of the legal requirements for websites issued by all 50 U.S. states and every country in the world. But I do want to respect and follow all of those legal requirements to the best of my ability. Call me old-fashioned, but I dig the rule of law. So, the language on those pages doesn’t match the rest of this website’s language and doesn't reflect the kind of language I will use in your documents, because I didn't write it. You are not a website. You are a mental health provider. You need legal documents that reflect your values to lay the foundation for your relationships, and I will make sure those documents both reflect your values and protect your legal interests.
